Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information The Anime and Manga Dictionary (animeandmangadictionary.com) collects, why, and what rights you have. We try to keep the site simple and to collect as little as possible.
Who we are
The site is run by Axiom Content Labs, a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom. We are the controller of any personal data described here. You can contact us at info@axiomcontentlabs.com.
What we collect
- Nothing that you submit through the site. There are no accounts, comments, forms or newsletters.
- No cookies and no analytics. The site does not currently set cookies or use tracking or analytics tools.
- Search. The search box works inside your own browser. What you type is not sent to us.
- Server logs. Like every website, the server that delivers our pages records technical information about each request, such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser type. This is handled by our hosting provider, and we use it only to keep the site secure and working.
- Emails. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.
Why we use it, and how long we keep it
Server logs are processed because it is in our legitimate interests to run a secure and reliable website. They are kept for the period set by our hosting provider. Emails are processed so that we can respond to you, and we delete them when they are no longer needed.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your data. The only third party that handles it is our web hosting provider, which stores the site and its server logs on our behalf.
Links to other sites
Some entries may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we suggest reading their policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To use any of these rights, email us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we add features that change how personal data is handled, such as advertising or analytics, we will update this policy and the date above before those features go live.
